    Responsible for ensuring the front office is running smoothly by supervising office staff, hires, terminates, and trains front office employees, and oversees the preauthorizations, denials, and billing portion of the office. As a medical front office manager, you should demonstrate excellent organizational skills and the ability to perform well in stressful situations.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for ensuring front office staff consistently provides strong, professional customer service and communication in registration and scheduling
    • Monitor insurance preauthorizations and denials
    • Supervise front office staff including registration, scheduling, and patient accounts, etc.
    • Maintain medical and staff records
    • Liaise with doctors and medical manager to identify potential office dysfunctions
    • Ensure compliance with current healthcare regulations, medical laws and high ethical standards
    • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, policies, and procedures
    • Responsible for verifying accurate cash collections on-site for services rendered daily
    • Learns and understands the cost/profit for cases performed at the center
    • Recommend hire, enforce terminations, and train front office staff
    • Oversee billing, coding, and collections: work with and monitor performance of third-party coding, billing, and collecting vendor(s) on areas of timely and accurate coding, charge capture, cash flow, days in accounts receivable, etc.
    • Schedule appointments
    • Submit claims to insurance
    • Delegate responsibilities
    • Assess and communicate employee performance
    • Develop and implement office policies and procedures

    Requirements and skills

    • Proven work experience as a medical office manager, at least 2 years of front office management experience
    • Knowledge of administrative processes and principles
    • Ability to handle medical records discreetly
    • Knowledge of medical issues and terminology
    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
    • Ability to multi-task and perform well in stressful situations
    • Communication skills and a customer service orientation
    • BS degree in Healthcare Administration, Business or relevant field

    Overview: Ophthalmology Practice and ASC in Madison, MS seeks a business leader to join our team.

    Responsibilities: This position would manage the billing department with duties as outlined below. It is a desk position that would require that you be in the office during operating hours. The billing manager position would be in a growth environment with a physician-owned group of 3 along with an ASC and visions of adding more providers.

    It is important that you have management experience in the medical clinic environment. Ophthalmology experience is preferred but not required.

    • Be familiar with Electronic Medical Record Systems (Our Group uses Nextech and IntelleChart PRO).

    • Monitor and manage billing staff that includes remote workers. • Responsible for managing schedule templates.

    • Proficient in running and interpretation of metric reports and recommend to Administrator modification to address billing issues.

    • Proficient in reading financial statements and carrying out supporting duties in the creation of monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

    • Work with Insurance Company Representatives on reimbursement issues.

    • Proficient in writing and reading Excel spreadsheets.

    • Manage bad debt and informing the administrator of past-due accounts.

    • Check the correctness of the billing team’s work and correct any discrepancies as necessary.

    • Inform personnel about legal guidelines for collection procedures.

    • Keep a record of payments and billing, and finish all crossover billing.

    • Maintain and ensure that patient records relating to billing and payment are maintained.

    • Offer assistance to patients who have complaints or questions about bills or the invoicing process. Qualifications

    • A bachelor’s degree in business management, finance, accounting, economics, health, or a related discipline

    • Years of experience in a medical group billing department.

    • Expertise in the relevant sector

    Job Summary –

    The Treasurer is responsible for directing the organization's cash management activities, raising capital to support the Clinic's expansion and overseeing all property and casualty insurance programs.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • ·         Monitors and manage all banking relationships
    • ·         Negotiates financing transactions, including lender selection and documentation and covenants review.
    • ·         Responsible for the administration of the Clinic’s Debenture program including completion of all offering documents, oversight of all purchases and sales, and completion of all recurring accounting requirements
    • ·         Oversees all cash management and bank reconciliation activities
    • ·         Develops and implements periodic cash forecasting models
    • ·         Manage company property, general liability, vehicle and directors and officers insurance policies, including the administration of all related claims

    Treasurer Education and Experience Requirements

    • ·         Proven experience as treasurer or in a relevant financial role
    • ·         Working knowledge of MS Office and financial accounting software
    • ·         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
